I think they mean go back to playing pve... most people start GW playing pve not pvp.
no one looks at your armor in a heated battle (and they can care less too)... only on obs mode.
the armor u wear doesnt even matter. those pvpers who talk trash say "go back to pve sway noob" to everyone even if u got a pvp char.

it's just a game
you play it for fun and that's it
no need to cus at people cuz they play pvp with a pve char
i play pvp sometimes with my pve char
she has obsi armor but so what
i like pve more then pvp but sometimes i go play pvp cuz i get bored
if ppl start cussing at me cuz i'm playing pvp with a char that has obsi i'd give them a carebear

I do admire the way you come in to a discussion and put something like that
But can we keep this more on topic. As i said, this isn't about my skill as a player, i just wanted to see every one else's opinion on this. The point of this wasn't because the kid bullied me in the playground and i needed to cry to Mrs green. The other team didn't know what armor or weapon sets i had, other than they were PVE weapons and not just created by pressing J. I love PVE and PVP but i don't get why there are people like that
Thanks for the input anyway

40/40 sets for every one of your spells(or 40/20/20)

This. Also, you claim to have 1 minor rune, 1 Superior Vigor, and 4 Vitae, for a total of 6 runes. Typo?
Who cares what the opposing team says? Why should you? Why ask us?

PvP players can get Tournament rewards.
They are just envious. Forget about them.
OF course, they should fix issues like:
- PvP character cannot 'modify' pets.
- PvE characters can get mods that are impossible to replicate in PvP, like a 15% (always) inherent modifier or things like Flint's Artifact.
They should fix that, but there's really no need for anything else.

Yeah, but flint's artifact is bad and I've yet to see someone using a 15/always weapon in PvP.
Sure, there are minor differences, like r8 (and r7) items, but they really are minor.

They were probably trash talking for the sake of it.
But the reason people may frown on it is because most of the time people bring their pve's in they are not close to PvP ready which you have proved for us.
Obviously nobody cares if GvG'rs do it because its pretty safe to assume that they're doing it right.
Bottomline there is no reason to gimp your character when rolling a pvp takes all but 5 seconds. This has been said a million times over.

Pretty sure most serious PvP'rs would just buy what they needed. Req7 shields aren't being bought by Pve players.
You act like it would be hard for a predominately PvP oriented person to go out and get PvE exclusive items.

And people ask me why I never high end pvp...
Aethetics are always important to me, as most of the pvp creatable items are not that good to look at. At the end of the day though, someone with that pvp sword will still be as effective as someone with the torment one.

At OP: something similar happened to me. Got called a "PvE noob" while I was PvPing on my necro, who was sporting FoW armor, a chaos axe and a Gloom shield. Can't remember if I won or lost the match (was HA) but IIRC, the other guy's team HAD PvE characters too.
At some point I think it's just something to piss you off (didn't work on my case) or they are jealous indeed.

No, its actually a valid argument. If you're going into upper-level PvP on a PvE character you had better have equipment that you chose based on its real value in PvP vs. the alternatives, not because its "what you've always used for caster classes." There will always be retards that call you a PvE noob just because of your appearance, but if you don't have the best equipment options available, you have no grounds to defend yourself. When you go in with a -5/20% shield and Radiant insignia, you're enforcing the stereotypes that you made this thread to denounce.
I'm sorry if that's harsh and I don't mean it to be a flame, its an honest critique of the situation.

Ok enough of that.

Honestly, you're playing the 2008 version of IWAY, what do you expect? Granted they were probably either running some other gay fotm, or really terrible... But people can get angry when they don't autowin over noobs playing fotm. It happens.

I really shouldn't go on after this as this has a whole heap of stupidity attached to it...

You shouldn't be in a sword in the first place unless you're in your weapon/shield set. If you're casting, then you want a 40/40 set. Also change your sword mod to +30, change your shield mod to something useful, and ditch the radiants.

wait they aren't about the same? newz 2 me.
also in most PvP formats, your chat box should look like this:
[ ] Local Chat [x] Guild Chat [x] Team Chat [ ] Trade [ ] Alliance Chat
Then you don't have to deal with stupidity unless its on your own team.

Considering the elitists (sorry the PVP) players have always tried to preach to us that GWs was designed to make players start in PVE and then move into PVP, I really dont understand how it makes sense to complain when PVE players do actually move into PVP.
